Probably n00b Q, but...

This is probably a n00b question, but I'm new to Steam. I've got some mods off the PCGamer coverdiscs, but Steam refuses to acknowledge that they're there. They're all in separate folders in my "steamapps/ my steam name /" folder, you know, the one with half-life, half-life 2, and counter-strike source folders. How do i get steam to notice them? :confused:

Please help me.

wrong folder

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods
(default path)

Then restart steam and your mods should be there

From what I gather, he's saying he put the mods in the folder where those other three folders are located? Not that he's putting the mods in the CS:S folder. Not that it really matters I guess

Both the same game but with different graphics imo. Even though I haven't played it in well over a year the games have the same repetitive gameplay. Small map, go, plant, defuse, shoot, kill rinse and repeat. Leave it at that.

Yea but if you have a good enough pc might as well play with nicer graphics

Lol same, 1.6 actually has a decent reg system, whereas Source can just be random as you like at times.

But ye i cant stand 1.6 gfx so Source for me tooo !

I know the hitboxes were shocking before, but I thought they fixed that?

they can still be dodgy on low tick or crap servers. a lot beter that it was but not perfect.
