Corsair XMS3 DDR3 RAM Speed question

I have an Asus Crosshair III with 4GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600Mhz RAM, running at 1333Mhz according to the BIOS. WHen I look at the RAM in AMD OverDrive or CPU-Z utils, it shows Bus Frequency at 666.667MHz. The BIOS shows it running at 1333MHz but I'm confused as to why these other programs don't show that.

I have an AMD X6 1090T also.

Should I expect to see the 1333MHz anywhere in these programs?

This memory is DDR(3) or Double Data Rate. This means that data is transferred at both the rising and falling edges of the clock - hence the "true" frequency of the RAM may only be 666.7MHz, but the effective frequency is 1333MHz due to DDR.

Also, it looks like your RAM is running at motherboard default speed (1333MHz), if you go into the BIOS enable the XMP (memory profile) it should run at the rated 1600MHz speed. This won't improve the performance much, but it will mean the RAM is running at the speed you paid for.
