Any tips or certain values to abide by?

I used to have an Asus board so had the auto OC enabled but now I have a Gigabyte board which I am used to I thought i'd do a real OC :D

hoping to try and push 4.6-4.7ghz 24/7 which I think is perfectly do-able.

I have a Titan Fenrir equipped with an Akasa Apache fan and AS5 TIM.
Currently idling at 29C.

I would like to keep the Turbo so that when the computers idle it'll stick at 1.6ghz. If I can still do that?

I've got a 2500k with the MSI GD65 along with the A50... The thing to remember is that it doesn't hurt to put the multiplier right up even if it blue screens you, because it doesn't do any damage, so it's better to play it safe with the voltage than being safe with the multiplyer.

Each individual processor needs different voltages etc so it's impossible to tell you the best setup. However, you should change the multiplyer to 40 (4GHZ) and keep increasing the voltage in threes until it can pass Prime95 for 10 minutes (also download speedfan to check temperatures).

From there if you're happy with temperatures, you can increase the multiplyer to 45 (4.5GHZ) and do the same with the voltage except making sure it runs prime for an hour or so (If temperatures get to 70 then reduce voltage).
