hi all ,im i the process of building a new pc ...now then ive bought
c2d e6300 1066 fsb does my fsb need to match the ram i buy??
i.e pc2-8000
any help on this would be great cheers all martin

the 1066mhz fsb quoted is the quad pumped figure. So you only need ram capable of running at 533mhz (PC-4200) in order to run your ram 1:1 with stock fsb. If you want to overclock, you'll need faster RAM, most people opt for PC-6400 (800MHz).

pc8000 would be better for high clocks tho.

Tho the pc5300 Crucial Ballistix would clock as high as most pc6400.
