Got a problem here that's driving me nuts :(

I've got a Windows XP machine on the network here, and it only appears to allow one person to browse it's shared folders over the network at any one time. If more than one person tries to access files on the machine it gives a "An error occured while reconnecting Z: to \\192.168.0.9\c Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already in use. The connection has not been restored."

Seeing as I mostly access this machine remotely it's a bit of a pain!

If anyone could shed any light and help me get to the bottom of this it would be much appreciated :D

You are connecting to C, not C$ so it could be the share has been setup limited to a single connection.

Have a look at the properties of the share on the machine and see.

Thanks for the reply, tried connecting to C$, same problem :(

Checked the share and it's set to maximum number of connections, set it manually to 10 and this hasn't made a difference.
