Problem after changing monitor. Please help!

Hi there,

A friend of mine has just built a pc and it's working great. She has various bits of software on the machine which all work fine apart from Adobe Illustrator CS3.

The first time she loaded it after installing, it worked fine. She was using a CRT monitor. She has just recently got an LCD and illustrator will not load, all other applications load but illustrator. When she tries to load it, the screen flickers and nothing happens. Nothing initiates. She has tried installing 4 times and nothing helps. All other applications work like flash etc.

Anyone any ideas on this?

I don't think its to do with the monitor. Check all cables are connected secure and maybe reseat the graphics card. Update all the drivers while you're at it.

I've never heard of a specific program taking out a display like that aside from graphics card driver issues.

I could be a coincidental conflict with something else thats causing the problem. Create a new user account and try installing it under that.
