Hi all

I have my PC(with audigy 2 sound card) hooked up to an old amp(Technics SA-AX7) with 5.1 speakers via 3 x 3.5mm to RCA cables and i get no sound from the centre speaker. The RCA cables hook into the 6 channel DVD ports on the amp, the 3.5mm jacks go into the 3 ports on the sound card (Centre, Rear and Front). It seems i can only have the Centre speaker OR Subwooofer on, even though your meant to get both from the centre socket on the sound card :/

The PC is set to 5.1 surround too. I wish there was a digital socket on the AMP :(

What am i doing wrong here?

Infact the digital won't give surround in games anyways, only in movies (which happen to be pre-encoded in DD/DTS formats)

The 2 X RCA cables should work. Have you tried other sources like dvds?
