Problem configuring xbox360 pad for GTA

Any one help me configure the xbox 360 pad to use on pc?
Have installed xbcd drivers but cant get the controls to work with GTA San Andreas

I used the xbcd with SA but it was really poor. I then tried a program (Off top of my head) Pinaccle game profile? Anyhow this lets you re-map all buttons even the z axis to image the keyboard. Works pretty well and you can get both thumbsticks working!

i used xbcd and re-configured the controls to what suited me in-game and it works okay, the only annoying thing is not being able to manual-aim with non-scope weapons using the analogue sticks.
