OK i bought a Xtreme Gamer Fatality Pro card .... my problem is connecting it up to my home cinema system.

I used to use a digital (coaxial) lead from the onboard sound card to my sony 5.1 system.

When getting the fatality I realised it didnt have the correct digital out for my lead so today I got the Creative Digital IO module.

When connecting the lead through this - this happens.

Playing through PowerDVD - this gives dolby digital etc...

when playing through Winamp an MP3 track... I just get the front 2 speakers... no subwoofer....

Have I missed something somewhere ?
In the control panel / or creative console - 5.1 is selected.

How do I get the subwoofer working with winamp / or any other program other than powerdvd ?

EDIT :

when playing through VLC player / winamp etc ... on the amplifier it states left and right .... PCM 96 khz coaxial.

when i play a file through powerdvd it turns into dolby digital etc if a dvd - or hd demo.

Thanks in advance.
