Sorry if this is in wrong forum.
I have a company laptop dialled into my company’s network through VPN (AT&T dial up). I can't seem to connect to www.o2.co.uk for some strange reason. Webpage will hang for ages and then come back with MSN search site saying we cannot find www.o2.co.uk.
I've tried to flush the DNS cache and I've checked my dial up connection and every seems to be ok, to my knowledge anyway. O2 site is working from my works PC so it's definitely not the website. No other website seems to do this too. I've tried to ping the site but request times out (but this could be due to the server not accepting incoming echo requests). Trace Route times out also. I'm at a loss as what to do next and I really need to get on the site (work related an all that).
Thanks ;)

What is the address of the dns server your using?

Assuming your using Windows Xp try the following:

Find the IP address of your DNS server then open a command prompt

Code:
Nslookup
server "IP Address of DNS Server Listed"
www.o2.co.uk

Also try

o2.co.uk

This will allow you to accetain whether you DNS server can actually resolve the IP address of the O2 site.

Following any further problems, its a company laptop ask your support team to take a look.
