I am on a network and connect via the ethernet.
Now I have just recently bought an emac and wanted to test out the internet etc on it so took the ethernet cable from my main pc and put it into the mac and it all worked np.
But now when i unplug the cable from the mac and put it back into the PC i can't connect to the internet on my PC?? All i did on my mac was surf a bit and turn on the firewall on the mac.
So what has happened??
When i log into windows it takes an absolute age and then i get an error from ati catalyst saying i don't have permission to do that. It then finally gets into windows and i can see the connection icon in the taskbar saying it is aquiring network address and it keeps doing that.
Does this mean i can't swap my ethernet cable between the PC and mac?? If so that sucks as I won't get an ethernet connection for both of them for awhile
