I am away from home just now. I am staying in the company house in Alexandria for a few days before I go to the rig.
There is a phone line in the house which my colleagues use to connect to the internet until the dsl is connected up.
My laptop refuses to connect, I get an error saying there is a hardware problem and to check my modem.
I borrowed a PCMCIA card with a sim and tried to connect using GPRS but I get the same error.
My colleagues have no such problems. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
