I tried to transfer some of my mp3s on my phone (i use a 1gb pro duo stick on my k750i btw) to my work PC today which runs win2000, however, after a few files i got an error flagged up about a delayed write failing and then the phone could not be found in my computer. This happens every time i try a transfer.

I've tried the following to solve it

Used a different USB port
Used a different USB cable
Made sure i am on latest firmware

Any suggestions?

Many thanks

Erm, when you plug it in, it brings up the small box with how you want to run it. Click "View Folder to view Files" this is accessing the Memory Card. Where as the Sony Ericsson File CD that you get, only goes on the Phone Memory for some reason. So if you get the little box ... select the view folder one. Then drop the mp3's into "mp3".

Thanks for your reply. I think we may be at crossed purposes. I am transferring using my computer straight from my 1gb pro duo card to the HDD on my computer, so not using the Sony software that only accesses the phone's memory. If i try to transfer a folder from the MP3 folder on the pro duo (an entire album for instance) from the phone to my PC it will fail after only a few tracks with a delayed write fail message.

Transferring files from the PC to the phone is fine, it just won't do it in reverse for some reason

Hmm sorry, for me..i get into the "view folders to view files" and drag them from it that way... but maybe thats just lucky? Have you installed the CD..maybe it needs that or something? I've had a few problems with that.. Btw an easy way is to move to your phone, transfer and then transfer back etc. Sorry for my earlier reply ;)
