Problem in Macromedia Fireworks, help

I have uploaded 2 files on bucket.

1. the graphic I am trying to emulate

This is using Fireworks, but I can't seem to attach to path on the inside at the bottom of the logo, like the original Gif graphic. Any help would be appriciated.

I'm a little confused, but have you tried drawing a new path to attach the text to? With the pen tool

Yes I have tried that but unable to attach text to the path? stumped. It does not curve round with the line?

Great thanks furnace, I tried that but it did not work before must have been finger trouble! But followed your idiots guide and worked a treat this time. I copied the oval then cut with the knife to great the path I wanted and it worked.
