Problem Installing 91.47 Display Drivers

Guys,
Havin a problem installing the latest 91.47 forceware display drivers for my XfX 7950GX2. The installation detects both the GPU's but the monitor goes into stand by during installation. The monitor light flashes and the screen goes black, the PC remains on though.
I have to restart in safe mode to remove the drivers.
To be honest I remember having same prob with 91.37 forceware, had to install NGO optimized driver 91.37 to get it to work.
I have tried both NGO and Forceware 91.47 drivers with no joy.
I have installed the 6.86 chipset drivers first then the Display drivers and vice versa with no luck.
What am I doing wrong. Its doin me head in

Forceware drivers are quite friendly on a fresh driver instll


Are you uninstalling old ones first then booting into safemode and running driver cleaner to remove all nvidia display driver remaining files? this is an important process to do to ensure a successful new driver installation.

Give it a try if not because that will likely resolve your issue!
