Problem installing Linksys WMP54G wireless adaptor in Windows 7

Hi all

I'm doing my nut trying to find a solution to this problem. Just about every Microsoft help page for this problem appears to be broken (even Microsoft's own social.answers.microsoft.com is knackered) and the only article I can get to refers to Windows XP. The solution for Windows XP does not work in Windows 7. Anywhere, here's the error I get in device manager for this network card.

The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.

Can anyone offer a solution please before I throw the whole thing out of the window in frustration? I've tried numerous different drivers from Linksys themselves to the ones Microsoft provide via Update.

I think that was the same card I had when I moved to Windows 7. Never got it to work.

Finally managed to get it installed after trawling the registry for Linksys references where driver data is stored and deleting.
