When i computer is booted up with AGP card the computer uses that as primary video adaptor and it displays through that card. Although i have a vga cable going into the onboard card and in display settings it doesnt show this. It seems like when the AGP card is attached it only allows for one output through the new card.
Why doesnt the secondary monitor appear through the onboard graphics?
i know that you need to tell the monitor to display through device properties but the secondary monitor (onboard) does not display at all.
In device properties it says "display: plug and play monitor on NVIDA geforce4 mx 440 with AGP8X (dell) It does not show any secondary monitor.
Computer spec:
Dell Dimension 4600
winxp sp2
p4 3ghz
1gb ram
nvidia geforce4 mx440
any suggestions to why its not displaying on second monitor?
Is it something in the bios? i changed primary onboard display to "on" instead of "auto" as i thought auto might be what is kicking the onboard card off but it didnt work.
