after I've installed vista and it loads into windows for the first time the following message appears? I formatted my hdd, and tryed again, and it did the same?

Why is it doing it, what can I do?

It's Vista Home Premium 64-Bit OEM

system specs in my rig.

Thanks in advance.

Could be a problem with your Vista disc as suggested, but don't discount hohum's suggestion. I always let a new build do a good few loops of MemTest86's test 5 before loading the OS, just as a very basic hardware check. That error you're seeing could well be memory related!

Is your Trust mail your main one? I can prob lend you a copy for the meantime.. seeing as you have the serial key and everything.. :)

cheers mate, but I've managed to get it to work now. No idea how I just reinstalled for like the sixth time, didn't change a thing, and it suddenly worked lol.

although I'm confused now with all the drivers, my vista base score for my gfx card is only 1.0

Did you have your system OC'd at any level? I have seen this happen before and solved it by loading BIOS defaults. Least you sorted it now

nope, it wern't oc'ed at all, everything was on default. oh well it's working now :)

still not 100% sure how stable it is though.
