Problem Installing Windows 7

Hi, need some help...

I'm trying to install windows on a new system.

When I come to where it asks what Hard Disk I want to install it on, nothing is displayed

This is a new HDD by the way. Do I need to partition it or something?

I believe I've installed it correctly, as I was able to set it to secondary in BIOS.

Any ideas?

Unplug all HDDs from your system. Then reconnect the HDD Windows 7 is destined for, see if it shows up in the BIOS and during POST. Try the install again. Try different SATA ports on your mobo and try a different SATA cable.

If no joy, you could have a duff HDD. RMA time in that case.
