Hi, in our house we have 2 PCs setup on one router, the one upstairs is a pretty old Packard Bell running Windows 98, mine downstairs is updated reasonably often and I have an ok system.
Now, on my computer, there are no problems loading any page, or anything like that. Upstairs however, has been a continual source of frustration, at the moment I am on the crap one posting this, its let me log in to this site and other secure log ins such as my uni email. When I try getting into hotmail (more or less the sole reason my mum uses this pc) it just stalls out and gives cannot be displayed once I have put in username and password. All the details are definitely correct and there are no settings I can find that would explain this.
This is the same in both IE and Firefox.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas that could help then they would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
