Problem? - Aego M

I just plugged in my new aego 2.1 acoustic energy speakers into my sound blaster audigy value card using the digital input and I get really quiet bad fuzzy sound through it, I can hear music but it's barely audible.

The speakers work fine with my mp3 player. Does this indicate a faulty digital input on the soundcard?

Maybe the Aego Ms don't take digital inputs? I think it's analogue only...

P.S. Thinking about getting the aego Ms myself, one question, does it have an external power brick?

No it doesn't. It does take digital input as my mp3 player plugs into the front of it

What I mean is, are you using the digital output of the soundcard rather than analogue. Other than that try switching some cables about, if it works with your mp3 that suggest problem with soundcard.
