Today i was running a few applications at once on my rig in my sig below and got a bsod.
This happened again when trying to run a few applications at once and i had an error come up on one of volumes for my raid array but this was reset by going into my intel matrix storage manager in windows and marking it down as normal.
So i thought i would not be able to boot up again but found i could boot back into vista ok so that ruled out data loss due to an error on the raid array.
So i decided to do an orthos stress test with everything like cpu, ram etc put back to stock speeds in the bios and when i run the orthos small fft's- stress cpu it runs fine with no errors.
However. when i run the blend, stress CPU and RAM it fails and freezes the pc up everytime anytime from 6 secs to around 1 minute.
I have knocked everything back to stock speed and i have tried the above test about 5 or 6 times and each time it freezes the pc up.
Does this look like my gskill ram is on its way out and is there any other way to test the ram or is orthos the best way of testing it?.
I was considering re-formatting vista but im trying to work out if its the memory failing or not when stressed.
When running an application or two in vista etc everything is fine and playing games for awhile.
Hope someone can help.
