problem, no centre or sub??

right i have the sound blaster live card and philips 5.1 surround sound. its been working excellent for the past few month, but suddnly the centre speaker and the sub wont work, i have checked they are plugged in etc. what could it be? the dovume controls etc are on the centre speaker and they all still work as well

could installing other audo programs such as quick time change some settings or something?

Have you tried swapping the cables around to make sure the wire isn;t broken or the connecters on either end. Could the plug in the card be broken or the socket on the Amp?

Possibly broke the speakers or the circuitry from any hard knocks or smashes?
Try using a different set of speakers / soundcard if you can making it possible to identify the failing component.
