Problem overclocking ram

Hey, im on X79 platform if i use my ram with xmp settings, itll automatically go to the 125 strap and itll boot fine at 2666mhz. If i try the 100 strap i can't get the computer to boot at all, not even if i lower the frequency. What could the problem be?

Hi,set your ram voltage to 1.65V don't leave it on auto along with your ram timings > CL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS 11-13-13-35 in the Bios

Read your motherboard manual on how to do this first if you are not sure, just do as it says.

I've just had a play around for a bit and i seem to have it up and running ok now
