What power supply?

Make sure he has latest drivers for graphics, mobo etc and DirectX.

Has it just started happening recently - been ok before? Or is it a new build?

Hi, i'm Gamer98's friend in need.

My computer has recently been built (yesterday infact) however i am experiencing issues which restart my computer with no warning or error reports.

I'm trying to remember all the tools and drivers i will need to install as i am sure that my pc is fine but it not equipped yet to play games.

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

What power supply do you have?

Also, turn off the automatic restarts on errors so you can see if there are any blue screens containing some info. This may help direct you towards the cause.

IMO sounds like power supply, drivers or RAM problems.

well i do know 1 of the 2 sticks of RAM i recieved was defective.

My PSU is a blue storm 500W.

How do i turn off automatic restarts?

My computer > properties > advanced tab

Under startup and recovery, click "settings" and disable automatically restart.

Try running memtest to rule out memory.

Jesus, i just had about 3 blue screens in a row:

BAGCODE_USB_DRIVER

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA

i need a quick response before theystart again!

Going by those screens, I'm inclined to say memory - someone feel free to disagree lol.

Try running memtest as I suggested before so you know for sure :)

Don't think the fella knows about Memtest.

It's an application that stresses your memory to check for errors.

Download it here

Download memtest from the link above, if you have no floppies create a bootable CD as shown.

Run the tests for a while and see if it reports any errors.

First, download the pre compiled bootable ISO file from http://www.memtest.org/#downiso and un-zip it.

Then download and install Deepburner from here(it's free and spyware free) http://www.filehippo.com/download_deepburner/ and install it. This s/w will let you burn the un-zipped iso file to cd.

Then, making sure that your cd drive is selected as the first boot device, reboot your system with the cd with memtest on it in your cd drive. Memtest will then run when you reboot. You'll know if it finds any memory errors as they show up as red entries in the lower part of the screen.
