My Samsung Galaxy Note wasn't recognising being plugged into the charged last night. Woke up today and it had charged. Used the phone, battery ran down to dregs so plugged it in and it didn't recognise it as charging and it ran down to empty and turned itself off, and despite charging with the samsung charger for about 3-4 hours, trying several different USB cables, and trying to charge it via pc or tv USB socket it won't turn on.
Pressing volume down comes up with a small message saying "battery low!! Can't download!". I've tried home button&pressing screen, vol down&home&power button. Now seems to be dead and won't respond at all.
The battery doesn't show any signs of anything out of the ordinary (no leaks, smell, or excessive heat at any stage that I know of). It's not been rooted.
I've ordered a replacement battery. I'm just hoping the phone's USB gubbins hasn't decided to die.
Does anyone have suggestions on anything else I can do to try and get it working?
