Hi guys,
I've recently bought a Buffalo 4TB Terrastation Pro to store all my files and make them available from any of my machines.
I thought I had set everything up correctly, both my Windows and Linux (Fedora 9 and 12) can connect to, read/write/delete to the shares. However, when trying to run shell scripts from the NAS I was getting permission denied. Upon hunting around I discovered that all the folders on the NAS are listed as having 'nobody' for both owner and group??
I presume this is the problem, but I can't seem to be able to change ownership. Even as root I get Permission Denied.
I've mounted the NAS in /etc/fstab using the following line:
//NAS-IP/Mark /home/mark/MyNAS cifs exec 0 0
Any help anyone can offer would be gratefully received!!
