Hi,
I am trying to upgrade the ram on my PC my specs are
os: w7 64 bit
processor: intel core i3
cpu: 3.2 ghz
current memory: 4 gb ( 2 x 2gb)
motherboard: Asus p7h55-mle
I wanted to upgrade the memory to 8gb so went and bought 2x 4gb to replace the current ones. I made sure it was DDR3 as the old ones are.
The problem is that with the new ram the screen just constantly flashes on the Asus motherboard logo that 1st loads.
And one time it said 'drive A needs to format' but hasn't said that again.
I have took the CMOS battery? out but that didn't fix anything.
Ive just checked and the new ram is 1600mhz and the old ram is 1333mhz, but the new ram says it is backwards compatible.
Im just really confused as to what is happening or what to do. As you can probably tell, im no expert on these things.
I would really appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks
Hayley.
