Problem uploading files on FTP - 8-bit binary

I have a few files which won't upload via my FTP, it says that the files are encoded in 8-bit binary. Is there anyway to fix this?

Just changed it to binary but it's still not working. I'm using Filezilla, and there is ACSII Binary or auto transfer but even if I put it to binary it says critical transfer error. Maybe there's a better client I should be using?

It's weird though because I've uploaded files of the same extension before and it's not given me this error.
