Hi all,

I post on behalf of my sister who's trying to use a Belkin 54G ADSL modem/router with her o2 Premium broadband.

Basically she can't get connected, the Belkin router's interface (I havn't seen it yet) insists on the ADSL username/password being populated, but o2 are saying no details need to go in those boxes. She's tried her own broadband details in there but no dice.

Can anyone advise on what to do please?

She can't use the official o2 router, it's been stolen and is trying to get this Belkin working before she decides she needs to order the o2 one.

Bane, think she rang up and told them that and they said they wanted £15 instant payment over the phone to attempt to give her the details, but couldn't guarantee it'd work :(

As a side point:

o2 want £50 for a new router, if it comes to her having to get a new one, does anyone know the legality/feasibility of buying one for £10 on ebay and sending them that back when the contract ends?
