Hi Folks,

I have an interesting problem to try and solve, we use SonicWall VPN software to connect to our network when we're off site, we can connect to the network drives, ping the servers but Outlook says it can't find the servers.

This problem only occurs with Vista and Outlook 2003/2007. We have the same problem with another Vista netbook, … the strange thing is that one of the other Vista laptops and DOESN’T get the problem.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Paul

Is the SonicWall GVC Adapter set to DHCP? If so, is it getting a DHCP lease from the SonicWall or an internal DNS?

We had this problem with a laptop running Vista/Office 2007 and also on my desktop which was running vista and office 2007.
Couldnt get outlook to work over a vpn from either sonic wall client or a vpn from router to firewall.

Spent an age and a day on the phone to M$ and the best solution they came up with was to drop the vista machines out of the domain and then re-add them to the domain, resets a security channel or something was the M$ answer. Did this and all was fine.

The event viewer showed Kerberos errors when trying to talk to the exchange server.
Both hosts had entries in local hosts files for the exchange server so could ping the exchange server but outlook no workie.
