Past couple of times when starting my car, it has seemed to struggle a little when turning over, thought nothing of it really, but tonight it would turn over, cough and then die, did this a few times until eventually it did start, got home, tried to start it on my drive, and it wasnt 100% happy but started first time the three times i tried it...

On the way home performance doesnt seem decreased at all, was fine on the motorway etc etc.

My guess would be its just not sparking all the time on one cylinder perhaps?

The starter is ballsed i know that, the nose occasionally just spins over and i assume isnt pushed all the way onto the ring gear, swapped solenoids to try and fix this, was fine for a while but seems to have come back, ive done 5k with it though!

I thought battery as well perhaps, think its from 03, ive got a 12v charger, and probably a multimeter somewhere as well as a spare battery which needs a little water but should be fine otherwise.

No, cos its dark and i dont know what im doing :p But it ran fine on the way home, if they werent sparking correctly, i would expect a loss in performance...?

yeah true lol..

id have to go for starter motor or battery myself :)

get them checked out in the morning

Must have been funny air last night!

Went out this morning, started first time everytime, checked all the fluids, put the charger on the battery, was fully charged, couldnt find any problems at all with it! :o
