Hi, I'm having troble with a PC that won't connect to the internet. Under the properties for any network connection be it wired or wireless both the client for microsoft networks and file and printer sharing for microsoft networks are dissabled. When I check them to enable them and click ok, it says the following selection will dissable them. I have no idea what's causing this or how I can sort it out. I have tried a repair instaliation but that has made no diffrent.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

When you plug a cable in, is the interface connected - ipconfig will tell you.

Can you connect to the lan?

Can you ping your default gateway?

Can you ping localhost - 127.0.0.1?

Can you do a lookup at your dns servers?

copy and paste an ipconfig /all into here

If we forget about file and print sharing at the moment, that is irrelevant at this point.
