hey all,

any one got any idea's on what the problem maybe ?

Got a https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-252-OK with the HD 5870 installed.

Got the computer on wednesday and had no problems with it untill about 30 minutes ago , son was playing TF2 and for no reason the computer just shut it self down.

It now does not power up at all , and there does not seem to be a light on the motherboard ( could this be a power supply problem ) , will give OC a call in the morning , but just wanted some peoples opinions on what the problem might be .

Thanks for any help :)

Like as in windows shutting its self down?
or
The power being pulled out.

Can you turn it back on? Maybe the power button got a nock when your son was getting owned (or maybe owning)..

Like the power just being pulled , it wont turn back on ( and he owns so he tells me )

Just dont seem to be any power running to the system at all , no motherboard light , none of the fans spin a little when trying to switch it on , will give Oc a ring in the morning.

thanks for the replys thou all :)

Hi ,

Got a update on this and in need of some more info / help , have had the system back since tuesday just gone , and every thing has been fine , but about 2 hours ago the same thing happened , the system shut it self down and would not restart again , but this is the part that i am a bit confused over , tried the system about 1 hour after it shut down and it boots perfectly into windows no problem , all though it has since shut down and would not restart again , but 10 mins later here i am , any one got any idea's at all on what this could be .

cheers :)

So you sent it back to OcUK and they tested it and set it back with the diagnosis that its all good.

So from here it looks like its an issue on your end, have you tried it using a different circuit on your home electric?

Seems like an very odd problem. Try and make sure its not on your end, maybe someone else can be of more use.

The diagnosis was a blue screen, hardware failure , will try on different circuit.

Sounds a little like heat. Do you have CPUID HW monitor or similar to check the temperatures, fans during running the PC? This will also tell you the voltages on 3.3, 5 and 12 volt lines.

Does this occur at random times of day?

Currently running speed fan and its currently running at 37c ( should have said that it seems to happen when playing games online ( such as wow and tfc ) .

ok thanks for the reply's gents , will give your suggestions a try , being collected on monday so will hopefully get all sorted :)
