Well I have this problem that has been troubling me for the past 2 days. I have a GTX 570 that can only support up to 2 monitors. So with the 3rd monitor I decided to connect it through my motherboards DVI. Then problem is my monitor when not in use I turn it off, this causes my monitor to get removed and causes my windows to change resolution to 2 monitors instead of remaining the same. Makes all my desktop icons lose their positions.
Is there a work around to this problem?
Some more specific details:
When I start my pc with that specific monitor shut it still starts up with the resolution of 3 monitors.
All monitors work fine.
Also when I change my BENQ Xl2420T to 120hz the monitor connected to the motherboard loses signal, and the other monitor that is connected to the GPU with my Benq monitor remains fine.
