Im on my second 5970 and now im getting problems with this one.
The problem is that my screen seems to shake when im on internet explorer or when im playing a game.
When i scroll down on a web page it seems to get worse till it hard to read the page.

Edit: I've formatted my pc and im still getting the problem. I also tryed old and new drivers, what can i do?
Also theres a couple only very small pink dots, which i notice on a certain blue screen forum.

Sorry to hear you're having problems again fella. I'm sure there are many satisfied 5000 series owners out there but it does 'seem' like there have been a fair few that have run into problems. I can understand you wanting to try something different considering the luck you've had.

Hi i remember you:)

Yeah its not like im a nvidia fan boy ive had the following ati cards:
9800xt (awesome card no problems)
x1900xtx (nice card no problems)
5970BE ( powerful card just faulty:p )

This is my 3rd xfx 5970, im still tempted to stick to my guns and get another 5970 but i was thinking of getting Sapphire brand so what do you think?

Well i decided to change back to my old monitor which is a res of 1280x1024. So far no problems no small pink/blue dots. And no shaky screen, ive had this monitor in for about 15mins and it would be doing it by now???

Ran furmark multiGPU for 5 mins with max settings and no artifacts.

I'd suggest using the data cable you are using at the moment and the input you used previously. It is possible only one of the ports is faulty on the graphics card.

If one of the ports is faulty it wouldnt work on my 19".
I plugged them in the same places as my other monitor but i used the cable that came with my 19".

Try swapping the bigger monitor back, see if the issue reappears, then try the other output on the card.

Well i put the bigger monitor back in, but i changed the wires around so i got the cable that came with the 19". And so far no problems i think everything is ok:D

Edit: Scrap what i just said the problem is coming back again, so it looks like its the monitor.

Right ive tried the big monitor on the downstairs computer for the last 2 hours and its perfectly fine. But as soon as i put it back on my pc the problem comes back within 15-20 mins.
Im currently using the 19" screen and its perfectly fine, i just dont know what to make of it:confused::p

My pc is using the xfx ATI 5970 Black Edition.
Downstairs pc is using BFG 8800gtx OCX Nvidia.
