Problem with a 2 day old Iphone xs

Wanted to go back to ios after a while being with Android.

Bought a brand new sim free Iphone xs space grey, working fine for one day then started getting an error about a failed network update, left for ages, reset my network settings and nothing worked.

Finally I done a full restore and then run into another problem exactly like this site describes

Never had a problem with Apple products in the past and find this shocking on a brand new phone.

On it's way back to GiffGaff now for a full refund, just hope they are good with faulty returns?

better an out of the box fault than one six months down the line. These things happen, just get it replaced.

It’s a baseband chip failure.
Most giffgaff old models are refurbs so might be why

Not a refurb, it was brand new and sealed, they were great anyhow, now have had a refund.
