Hi. I have a new computer with an A8N-SLI SE motherboard from overclockers.
When i install windows on it and it boots to desktop i cannot acess the internet through my cable connection.

it will not allow me to create a network connection.
it does not recognise there is a network card, the built in one is not being recognised i think.

i do not have the driver for this motherboard with the allowing of the network device to be recognised, and i do not know where to download it. will downloading the driver for this be a solution for my problem?

where do i download the driver? i am confused as to which i should download and those i have downloaded do not burn to CD as applications.

Please help me.

Windows XP32
2.0ghz AMD
1GB ram
GF card nvidia.

You should have recieved it complete with a disk that has everything on it to configure the board including the sound drivers.

If not ask overclockers for it. It is called "NVIDIA nFORCE4 Series Support CD Rev.159.06". When in Windows, put the cd in and it will autorun and you can then install the network card drivers as well as other utilities and the sound drivers.

I have a system that normaly has this board in it. However the board is back at ASUS for repair as it has developed a fault.

You need to look at the following site for Network Drivers etc..http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Regards

thanks but ive downloaded the driver and it is a .Rar file, what do i do with that?
