Over the past few weeks, my PC started to lock up randomly, especially when left runing overnight.

On friday, things got worse and it wouldn't boot. After much effort in removing cards and memory, I eventually got it running again, but only after resetting the CMOS.

The MB was running BIOS 1007, so I've since tried it back with 0905 and 0904. However its still having majoy issues.

When I run MEMTEST 3.4, I get an error like this;

Lowest Error Address: 00000000000 - 0.0MB
Highest Error Address: 000fffffffb - 4095.9MB
Bits in Error Mask: ffffffff
Bits in Error - TOtal: 32 Min: 11 Max: 32 Av :21
Max Contiguous Errors: 1

This happens with either 1GB stick together, seperately and in any slot. In addition, when I go to reseat the second stick, the PC won't boot at all, so I have to leave it off for a short while and try again.

Whats got me concerned is the fact that both sticks error with the same problem, so I'm wondering if it could be the motherboard.

Anyone had any experience of such issues??

Cheers

Latest error in MEMTest is:

Badram=0x00000000, 0xfffffffc
Badram=0x00000000, 0xfffffffc, 0x08080804,0xfffffffc

blah blah

Just had my memory replaced by OC as it turned out to be faulty. However, just run MEMTEST 3.4 and I'm getting the same errors again.

I think I'm gonna cry
