Problem with ATI Tray Tools

hey guys, i'm having some problems with ATI Tray tools.

Using X1900XT 512mb, ATI Tray Tools v1.3.6.1056

I've disabled ATI hotkey poller & ATI Smart under services.msc

i use a 2d & 3d profile.

In 2D, i downclock the card to the lowest.

Here comes the problem, sometimes when i load my system, it doesnt load the 2D profile on default, and sticks with the card's default speed.

Sometimes when it does load the 2D profile on startup.. During usage, there are times where it changes back to default speed too..

Anyone can help with this?

It probably doesn't like your clocks and is triggering a VPU recovery. Let it use the stock clocks at 2d and just overclock when you're playing a game.

have you told it to load the 2d profile on startup in ati tray tools?

upz, its set to auto startup to my 2d profile..

hmm VPU recovery, could it be my voltage being too low?

i set it to 1.000v, but it got pass 3dmark06 though.

The problem doesnt happen all the time. just sometimes..

VPU recovery can be eratic. You may not be noticing it.

Try a 2d profile that's only a few mhz different from stock and leave the voltages as they are. Set that to load at startup and see if it kicks in any better.

The services should BOTH be disabled.

At start your 2D profile should be loading

When a 3D apps starts = 3D Profile, then when it quits = 2D profile.

I need to reinstall windows as my ATT has gone abit weird but as im getting a MBP in a few days I don't really care about this thing anymore
