Problem with audio

Hi there,

I am having a problem with Xvid audio.

I have installed the ffdshow codec, but when i open xvid avi's in windows media player it has a red "x" by it on the playlist and i dont hear audio.

I have tried reinstalling ffdshow, What should i do?

Try playing it in VLC Media Player - if it plays in this, it is in all possibly a codec issue, as VLC Media Player installs all its own codecs.
