I've been reinstalling a PC for a work colleague. I've been trying to reinstall Yahoo! Messenger and after a 30 second delay keep getting the following message...
'Yahoo! Messenger is unable to download files needed for installation. Please check firewall settings and retry installation.'
I’m pretty sure that I haven’t got any firewall issues that would be causing problems.
I’ve tried the installer on a couple of my own machines and keep getting the same result.
I even tried downloading the full installer from FileHippo and it just times out.
I just logged into a remote machine I have access to and the installer works as expected.
I’m at a bit of a loss. I was wondering if it was an issue with my ISP (BE). Is there anyone out there with a BE connection who could see if they’re having the same problem?
