Problem with BF2142/EA Link

Earlier today I was playing on BF2142. Now when I try to launch the game, nothing happens but this:

That's not just the first thing either. Yesterday, when I got the game, it was constantly giving me 'bf2142pace.exe not working' errors. It somehow fixed itself. I really really don't like this service, it's buggy as hell, and not letting me play my games I spent money for.

Oh, would you look at this; just restarted the comp, tried again and got this.

Hilarious, if it wasn't for the fact I spent money on it.

Now I just discovered I can't get a refund. Wow, I thought people were just bandwagon-riding when they said EA sucks, but jeez - this really is pretty bad.

edit: uninstalled both game and EA link. Never touching this sack of sticky brown poop again, nor any other EA-related items for that matter. That's 30 quid down the drain, but I would have spent that on a night out on the town if I didn't buy this software anyway.

Re-install EA Link...and then download the game again and try and install. I know these things are generally problematic..but Ive never had a problem with it and I also purchased via EA Link. Close your EA link before starting the game. The game should automatically sign in. Its an excellent game..and I would say worth a wee bit of hastle to get working. If still not working...contact EA support.
