I have just switched my processor fans on my pc as my cpu was at 50C idle.

I previously had the stock cooler for the AMD 3800+ and am using a 4000+.I switched this for an Akasa Evo33.

When i switch on, i get no display on the screen but there is some signal (it does not say no signal on the monitor) and i get long beeps from it every 3 or 4 seconds.

Any help?

-I have just checked the graphics card and it is not that.

What motherboard you have? ( I know I forget everytime :D )

Read the manual for your motherboard in troubleshooting it will tell you the meaning of the beeps you are getting.

ring me if you need more help m8 :)

Stupid question but is the fan correctly connected to the motherboards CPU fan slot ? Most won't boot if they don't think the fan is connected, to prevent damage to the CPU.

Update:

Swapped the RAM into another slot and it booted :D Waiting on an RMA response for the RAM anyway because the other stick already borked itself and it was running one stick anyway. Must have damaged one of the RAM slots when replacing the fan m8.

Keeping a CMOS checksum error now, which suggests to me that the battery is dead, strange seeing as the PC is only 4 months old.

Anyone have any ideas or new battery time?

Edit: It continues and boots to desktop when you press F1.

Edit: Its now booting normally

Update: All fixed :)
