I have a Bosch SRS56A02GB. The machine seems to be taking about 3 hours to do a normal wash. The time display states it should only be ~105 minutes. It seems to take 25 minutes from pressing the start button to anything actually happening. It seems to be getting worse.

Are there any white goods engineers on here who may be able to give me a few pointers? I'd prefer to repair than to replace.

Many thanks :)

Does it have a "proper" water feed or is it one of the self-cutting type? The self cutters tend to fur up over time and drastically reduce the water flow, the machine in turn takes longer to fill up.

It's a proper feed, not a cut in type.

Cheers for the above re recall - the washer is on at the moment, so can't get the serial no :o

Will check once the cycle has finished - many thanks :)

It appears that I have a model that is part of the recall. I rang the number and now have an engineer coming in a few days to replace the faulty part and to give the machine a service foc.

Many many thanks to the posters who highlighted the recall :)
