Hello,
Google Chrome updated to the latest version i.e. 15 the other day and I keep getting a very annoying prompt on some websites saying "An additional plug-in is required to display some elements of this page.".... However when I click 'Install plug-in" it doesn't do anything, just goes away, and next time I visit affected websites or click on a link in that website I get the same bs on the next page. I also tried clicking on 'Problem installing?' and I get this:
"Windows Media Player and Java
If you allow websites to use plug-ins and the browser detects that you're missing a plug-in for a particular site, it'll prompt you to install the plug-in at the top of the web page. Here's more information about installing Windows Media Player and Java plug-ins. Learn more about managing plug-ins
Windows Media Player
If a page simply links to Windows media files (e.g. .asf or .asx files), you might not see a prompt to download the Windows Media Player plug-in. In that case, follow these instructions to get the plug-in:

Test whether the Java plug-in has been installed successfully"
I tested if Java plug-in installed successfully and it confirmed it did.
Also why does it say: "Visit http://port25.technet.com/pages/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download.aspx"... I don't have ff installed, I never installed it on this computer and I never intend. Makes no sense to prompt me to install a plug-in for a crappy browser I don't even have..... And even when I click the link it directs me to this pointless website: http://www.interoperabilitybridges.c...lugin-download
Again, this only started occuring after chrome updated itself to the latest version.
To conclude, what the hell?
Thanks,
