Hi guys
Hope you can help!
Case: Coolermaster Cosmos S Black Aluminium Case
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD6 P55 Socket 1156
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12P SE2
Gfx: 2 x Inno3D GTX285 OC Edition 1024MB GDDR3
I am trying to insert a GTX285 into the mobo. The problem is that, once the collar on the graphics card (the piece of metal that sits flush with the case where the screw screws in to secure it) is in the correct position (i.e. the hole on the graphics card lines up exactly with the hole in the case and they are on top of each other with no space between them) the pins are not yet entirely into the slot on the mobo. Therefore it will not make proper contact. However there is no way I can push it down any further as the metal collar is in position and prevents it from being pushed down more.
It's almost like the mobo is too low - I am quite sure I fixed the mobo in correctly. The case comes with a handy chart attached to the back which shows the screw positions, though I did have some difficulty getting all the screws in.
Can you advise? Anyone else encounter this? I also tried to stick in an older Geforce 8800 Ultra that I had lying around: same issue.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!
