Turned on the monitor today and got a completely messed up image full of lines and grey/white colour.
I unplugged the HDMI and the power cable.
I plugged in the power cable only. Turned it on.
I get the normal message 'No HDMI cable found' BUT it is completely messed up as in the image below. Likewise for the OSD menu, it is messed up in the same way.
I have tried resetting it to factory settings via software (after connecting the HDMI cable) but it didn't help.
My question is:
Is the monitor faulty and can I do anything to fix it?
I am trying to speak to Dell's out-of-warranty technical support to see if they can help but I doubt it.
EDIT: Dell said the monitor is faulty and has to be replaced. I guess it's going to the scrapheap soon..
