Well ive just been playing oblivion, and i have my settings on max, and force AA in control pannel... but walking through the imperial city palace, i notice jaggies on the pillars... really bad ones.. so i quicksave, jump out the game, and check drivers...16x AA on...what the heck?!

I thought maybe the drivers just arent working from driver pannel, so i go into oblivion options, disable hdr and turn on 8x AA...still no difference.... whats going on?! there is no impact on performance between no AA, and 16xQ AA...

Is this the card failing to do it or the drivers playing up? im on the 158.22's, just rolled back from 160's as i thought it was them! Im on XP btw

Drivers/Game/Window's problem, I doubt a card could physically fail to do AA while still being able to actually render the 3D.

Did you try to reinstall the game?

I had this problem at first, but it was because I wasn't using the AA correctly.

You MUST do it like this:

If you want to use the "Force AA" in the drivers, you MUST turn OFF AA in the In-Game settings.

If you want to use "Enhance AA" in the drivers, then you MUST turn ON AA in the In-Game settings, and set the AA level to a different value than you set in the drivers.

Any other combination will cancel out AA completely. I hope that solves your problem, and it's nothing more serious :).

Well, in oblivion i have AA off, and there is no option for AF... so i had AA forced at 16x, and AF at 16...has no effects at all...

trying nvtray now to see if this works
