problem with dropbox not syncing new files

dropbox seems to be unable to or not willing to sync new files. i have unlinked and linked it but nothing. if i delete a file or add one the syncing icon just sits there

any ideas?

Have you tried clearing your Dropbox cache?

Do you have Selective Sync on by mistake?

They were having problems at the time, but I don't know if they've fixed it.

It might be a good idea to keep an eye on the dropbox_support twitter feed as any problems will be put there (and a check on the dropbox forum just now (meaning as I was typing this part) has told me that the problem has been fixed).

Ah it was a global problem possibly?

Looks like they have indeed gone in now. Maybe it was that. Unusual

I've had the exact same problem with google drive!
